Board AmaLucia and settle into your stateroom as your Rhine journey begins.
Day 2 — Amsterdam
Choose the Rijksmuseum, a culinary walking tour or a flower-arranging workshop.
Day 3 — Düsseldorf or Cologne
Explore Düsseldorf with regional tastings, discover its modern architecture or visit Cologne for an Old Town walk and local specialties.
Day 4 — Rhine Gorge and Mainz
Cruise past the castles of the Rhine Gorge. In Mainz, choose the Gutenberg Museum and Chagall windows, a Jewish heritage experience, pretzel making or a bicycle tour. The day also includes an onshore dinner experience.
Day 5 — Heidelberg or Speyer
Choose a visit to romantic Heidelberg with wine tasting or explore the Speyer Technik Museum.
Day 6 — Strasbourg
Discover the historic capital of Alsace on a guided tour or see Strasbourg by bicycle.

Hosted Without Being Herded
I’ve been in travel since 2015, I’m an AmaWaterways cruise line specialist, and I’ve sailed multiple times on AmaWaterways, including the Rhine river. I know this region well enough to help you get the most from each port and onboard.
I’ll be aboard AmaLucia throughout the sailing to help create an experience that feels connected, comfortable and easy.
You can join shared moments with other Paradigm guests, ask for guidance when you need it and always have a familiar point of contact onboard. But this is still your vacation. Choose your own excursions, spend time as a couple or with your travel companion, and participate socially at the level that feels right to you.
It is the ease of hosted travel without a rigid group schedule.

Is this a traditional escorted group tour?
No. Claudine will host Paradigm guests onboard, but travelers retain flexibility. You may choose among the available excursions and decide when you would like to participate in shared group moments.
Can two friends share a cabin?
Yes. Cabins can be configured with two beds, making the sailing suitable for friends, sisters, relatives or any two travel companions.
Why is full payment required now?
The cruise departs November 12, 2026, and AmaWaterways’ final-payment date has passed. Full payment is therefore required when the reservation is confirmed.
What does the $2,799 price include?
The advertised fare is per person based on two guests sharing a fixed-window cabin. Current promotional pricing and port charges are included. The cabin also receives a $150 onboard credit. Airfare and travel protection are additional.
Can I select a balcony cabin?
Yes, subject to current availability. French-balcony and twin-balcony cabins are available at higher fares.
How many cabins are available?
A recent cancellation created room for two additional traveling parties within the Paradigm hosted group. Cabin categories are selected from AmaWaterways’ current shipwide inventory, which can change at any time.
Is airfare included?
No. Airfare is additional. Paradigm Travel Agency can assist confirmed guests with suitable flight arrangements.
Is travel protection required?
Travel protection is strongly recommended, particularly because full payment is required at booking. Coverage, exclusions and pre-existing-condition provisions vary by policy.
